ROSEHILL
TRACK - Rated a Good 4 as of Friday morning and we can expect to be racing on a firm deck tomorrow. Rail is out 2m. Generally at Rosehill after a fortnight of dry weather you can expect the inside lanes and on pace to be an advantage. I am playing the meeting with an open mind and expect races to be more dictated by tempo. STRONG WINDS looking like a headwind in the straight which could make cover vital in run here.
BEST BET - R2 #7 VIVY AIR $3.30
She was backed off the map a few weeks back over 1300m when Mark Zahra came to town to jump aboard as his only ride on the day, however torrential rain hit prior to the meeting and she was scratched. Plan B was a 1st up assignment over 1200m and I thought she was excellent their, chasing home Dipsy Doodle and Cosmonova. She jumps sharply to 1500m here, will get a slower run in transit from a nice draw and she can get over the top of these late.

I love the way this mare is racing this preparation and there has been merit in all 3 performances. Tomorrow she drops back from Listed company, gets the driest track she has seen this preparation, jumps out of a perfect barrier and is likely peaking in the preparation 4th up. Looks a great set up and lovely price.

TRACK - Rated a Good 4 as of Friday morning. Expect the track to be firm all day and with the rail in the true position, I expect every horse to get their chance. No negative to be on pace on the dry deck.
BEST BET - R6 #1 GROWING EMPIRE $2.40
Stable have been very smart and patient with this fella and he was tipped out after a dominant win in the Breeders at Morphettville. He has the right racing pattern to go onto bigger and better things and he looks really well placed here. Drawn well, firm deck suits, excellent jump out leading in. Hard to beat.

He's coming off the best run of his preparation when flying home late over the mile. I am a bit taken back by the stable's decision to drop back a furlong to 1400m but he has drawn a great alley on a dry deck which is ideal for him. Blake Shinn a big booking.

ROSEHILL R2 - DUE CALZINI $11/3.30
The team are excited to see this son of D'argento return to the races tomorrow off the back of two nice lead up trials. He has strong formlines from his 2yo season all around him, most notably the Paul Perry Handicap at Newcastle which has numerous subsequent winners and Broadsiding, who has since won two Group 1's, a Group 2 and a Listed race.
First up last preparation he ran a narrow 2nd to smart filly SNOW IN MAY, who made 2 wins from 2 starts with a strong win at Newcastle yesterday, before winning well out to 1500m at Goulburn. The Listed Phoenix was his 3rd up assignment and he did the team proud, running 4.2l off the winner Imperialist.
He's been given the visitors draw tomorrow, jumping from a very wide barrier, not easy to do at Rosehill but we hope to see him savage the line and set up an exciting preparation. Whatever he does tomorrow, he will improve on and he is a horse to keep an eye on.
